In an effort to ramp up the COVID-19 vaccination with the increasing number of vaccine doses being delivered nationwide, the National Government shall conduct the Bayanihan, Bakunahan National COVID-19 Vaccination Days, Part III on 10-11 February 2022 (Thursday and Friday).
In this light, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) is calling and enjoining all individuals from the higher education sector, especially the medical, nursing, and allied health professionals; teaching and non-teaching personnel; data professionals, encoders, and students; among others to serve as volunteers during this two-day event. Likewise, we reach out to the higher education institutions (HEIs) to offer their campuses and facilities as vaccination sites for the said event and partner with the concerned Regional and Local Vaccination Operation Centers (R/LVOCs), pursuant to the DOH Department Memorandum (DM) 2021-0116 or the Interim Guidelines on the Identification and Utilization of COVID-19 Vaccination Sites.
The National COVID-19 Vaccination Operations Center (NVOC) has issued Advisory No. 102-B dated 07 February 2021 entitled “Guidance in the Deployment of Medical, Nursing and Allied Health Professionals, Teachers and Data Professionals as Volunteers for the National COVID-19 Vaccination Days, Part III.” The instructions for volunteer registration are detailed in this advisory.
Furthermore, all students, faculty, and staff who have not yet been vaccinated against COVID-19 are highly encouraged to get their first dose; they may choose to do so in coordination with their respective HEIs and/or Local Government Units (LGUs).
The CHED Regional Offices are also directed to inform the HEIs of this memorandum and NVOC Advisory No. 102-B and to submit a complete list of HEIs that will serve as vaccination centers in their respective regions via email at limitedfacetoface@ched.gov.ph.
We, in the Commission, recognize the value of the Bayanihan spirit and the important role of the higher education sector to achieve this massive endeavor.
Wide dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.
