Pursuant to the pertinent provisions of Republic Act (RA) 7722, otherwise known as the “Higher Education Act of 1994”, and in accordance with the CHED Memorandum Order No. 46, s. 2012 entitled “Policy-Standard to Enhance Quality Assurance (QA) in Philippine Higher Education through an Outcomes-based and Typology-based QA”, all interested Private Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs) are hereby informed that the CHED is now accepting applications for the grant of autonomous and deregulated status for 2019.
As announced during the orientation on the 2019 guidelines for the grant of autonomous and deregulated status conducted on 12 December 2018, the following timelines shall be observed:
| January 15, 2019 – February 15, 2019 | HEIs’ submission of applications to CHED Regional Office |
| February 16 – 28, 2019 | Endorsement of applications by the CHEDROs to the Office of Institutional Quality Assurance and Governance (OIQAG) |
| March to April 2019 | Evaluation of applications and finalization of results |
| May 2019 | Awarding of Status |
