This September, the National Coast Watch Council Secretariat will spearhead the celebration of the Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA Mo) as mandated under Presidential Proclamation No. 316 series of 2016. The celebration seeks to raise awareness and consciousness on maritime and archipelagic issues and concerns.
In view of this, we invite Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) offering programs in maritime, marine sciences, naval architecture and marine engineering, and other related fields to support this year’s celebration with the theme “Pamana ng Karagatan: Ating Ingatan Para sa Kinabukasan”. HEIs are encouraged to conduct activities that advocate maritime and archipelagic awareness and/or by participating in the activities and events organized by the NCWC.
